Great Small Town..Graduated AHS in 1959 with 25 in our class from the Old School on the hill which has since been razed but the memories are still very clear and the Community building that had a variety of fun for kids and adults..Bowling[2]Lanes where I set pins for a great group of local men & women.Movie Theatre,Basketball Gym on the second floor and game room and food..The local people have done a wonderful job keeping this town in good shape and the E.O.Austin[founder]Home is really something to see when you visit..THANKS TO ALL who built this structure..Visit this town when passing through for sure..

Great site and really enjoyed the pictures of my home town.
Too bad the kids of today do not have a community center that had a movie theater, bowling alley, roller skating and other entertainment.

If I had but one wish, it would be for all kids to be as fortunate as we all were to grow up in such a wonderful little area as the Austin-Costello-Wharton communities where people really do care about other people! It is the people who live there that have kept this little town alive and thriving! I am happy to pass this website on to others! Great job!!! This is a pic of the old community building...where the good times rolled!
