Yipee look how well we did!

The boys and I headed to Ocala this weekend to attend a Baldwin NADAC trial :)
(Oct 24th/25th)

It was a good weekend, good friends, good weather, great judge (nice to see you again Dwayne!!!) and the runs turned out pretty darn good!

Both boys had 8 runs over the two days and Flame Q'd in 7 of his 8 runs
AND took HIGH IN TRIAL VETERAN!!!!! :)
GOOD BOY FLAME!!!!!

"Baby dog" Camden (ok someday he'll stop being called that I suppose <G>)
Q'd in 6 of his 8 runs!!!

Flame: earned 3 -Elite Regular Q's, 1-Elite Weavers Q, 1-Elite TnG Q and 2-Elite Jumpers Q's (with ALL 1st places!!!)

Camden: earned 2 -Novice Regular Q's (staying in Novice to earn his "pre-elite" lifetime points needed to qualify for the 2009 NADAC Championship), 1-Elite Weaver Q (FIRST TIME in Elite Weavers!),
2- Elite Jumpers Q's and 1-Open TnG Q.
All of his were also 1st places except 1-2nd place!

Wanted to send a big CONGRAT'S to my good friend Kathy Flaherty and her boy "Brogan"  and their successful week (Sept 22-28) in Rhode Island at the
Golden Retriever National Specialty.

Kathy and Brogan (aka: CH SHR Mirasol Nose No Blarney JH WC CCA) were entered in Novice Agility, Novice Rally and Conformation.   In Agility he earned a "Q" in Standard, a "Q" in JWW (1st place) and a "Q" in Novice Fast.   Then he went on (in the downpouring rain) and "Q'd" for his first Novice Rally leg with a 99 and 4th place!!!

GOOD JOB!!!

Great weekend for the Nicholas boys.   We attended a Baldwin NADAC agility trial in Ocala this past Friday and Saturday NIGHTS (Sept. 19th and 20th, 2008).

Flame in Elite Veterans (he's 10.5 now ya know <G>) qualified in ALL SEVEN of the runs he was entered in!!!  4 - Elite Regular Q's (3-1st and 1-2nd) also 1-Elite Jumpers Q (1st), 1- Elite Touch n Go (1st) and 1-Elite Weavers (1st).

And for the ICING on the cake he was awarded HIGH IN TRIAL VETERAN!!!

(looks like the lil' black/white/tan "step-child" has decided he's going to uphold retired Dreamers track record now!!! )

And then came the blonde "baby dog" :))   Camden qualified in 7 of his 8 runs entered!!  In the 20+ Novice class he qualified in 4-Regular runs (2-1st, 1-2nd and 1-3rd), 1- Novice Chances (the only Novice dog to Q in this class) 1- Novice TnG (4th) and 1- Open Weavers (3rd)

But also to add to the wonderful Q rate Camden completed FOUR TITLES!!!
NAC - Novice Agility Certificate
NCC- Novice Chances Certificate
TG-N - Novice Touch n Go
WV-O - Open Weavers

Upon completing those titles Camden has now earned his
NOVICE VERSATILITY AWARD!!!!
************************************************
Also a big congrats to Joyce Swegle and Ziggy - who both were attending their FIRST NADAC trial (Ziggy's FIRST agility trial!) and they came away with 3 Q's -- 2 Regular and 1 Jumpers in the Novice 20+ class (2-3rds and 1-2nd)
WAY TO GO GUYS!!!

Dog trials can be very hard on the boys -- as you can SEE for yourself! Hotel room......rough life they have!

Camden and I (plus friend Joyce for support) went this morning (9-6-08) to try our hand at being certified for tracking!!  We met up w/ Dutch Schultz (THANKS Dutch!!!) in Satsuma to run the track.
Camden did a great job, pulling hard, head down and was all business!!!
(Until the end when he has glove in mouth with feet in the air twisting and kicking!!!)

I'm VERY proud of this boy -- he's my first attempt at tracking and he's doing a great job!  Onward and upward for that "TD"!!!

Also a BIG THANK YOU to Joyce Swegle my good friend and tracking teacher -- I think she was actually smiling bigger than I was this a.m. when he finished!!

Looks like the Canadian "Sisters" (Camdens) had a GREAT weekend!!!
(8-16th/17th-08)

Maralyn and Amelia decided to come "stateside" and show in Enumclaw, WA at a conformation show (only her 2nd - AKC show).   Well "Amelia" (with Maralyn at the end of her lead) walked away with BACK to BACK Majors!!

On Sat she won the Open bitch class and went on to take Best Opposite Sex (over 25 bitches) and on Sun. she won the Open bitch class and took Best of Winners/Best of Opposite Sex (over 29 bitches)!!!  What a way to earn your first US - AKC points with both majors!!!

Staying up in Canada Kristiina and Journey attended a NADAC agility trial where "Journey" finished THREE titles and earned Q's towards other titles!   She completed her Open Standard, Open Tunnelers and Novice Jumpers!!

WAY TO GO GIRLS!!!!

Amelia and Maralyn on Sunday (8-17-08) after earning her 2nd US Major.

Well we attended a CCA (Certificate of Conformation Assessment) evaluation today put on by the  Mid-Fla Golden Retriever Club (8-10-08)

Camden can now add some new letters behind his name!!

He passed under 3 evaluators (Pluis Davern, Susan Peterman and Ellen Hardin)
who all felt he upholds the
Golden Retriever Breed Standard put forth by the GRCA.

Camden after his grooming session at Kathy's house -Sat. afternoon. Getting ready for the CCA the next day.

Big congrats to my friends - whose boys passed also!!
(Spencer, Trevor, Brogan and Henry)

Camille/Spencer, Jodie/Trevor, Kathy/Brogan, Me/Camden and Joyce/Henry

The golden boys had a great day today (6-19-08) at the Mid-Fla Golden Retriever Specialty
in Orlando  (Flame wasn't allowed).

Dreamer and Camden were both entered in Rally Excellent to try for those 3rd legs
for their "RE" titles!
I can report that both did their jobs and can sport new letters behind their names!!!

Dreamer is in Excellent B (has obedience titles) and earned a great score of 96 and a 4th place (missing 3rd just by time).   Dreamer is 7 weeks shy of 13 yrs old!!
Could you possibly ask for more??????

Camden had TOO good of a time in Excellent A -- he was VERY happy and WAYYY too up for a tight course in a very small ring, so we didn't have the best of scores and earned an 84
(which included a repeated station and many "out of position" hits)

BUT that was a good enough score for a 1st place!!!!!

Great news for the "Sisters" (Camdens) in Victoria, BC (Canada) this weekend
(5-23/24/25 -08)

Maralyn and Amelia earned her "RN" (Rally Novice) title in 3 straight passes and went in for a 4th insurance leg earning a 100 and 1st place!!!

Kristiina and Journey earned her "CD" (Companion Dog-obedience) title in 3 straight passes and
2 - 1st places for icing!

WAY TO GO GIRLS!!!!

BIG CONGRATULATIONS being sent to Victoria, BC Canada and Camdens breeder
Maralyn Redford (Myriosa Goldens) and his sister "Journey"
(owned by Kristiina Ovaska & co-owned by Maralyn)
Myriosa Journey Of A 1000 Miles TD, AGNS, NAC, TN-N, Am TD

(who is just beginning her "show dog" career)

On May 10th - Journey earns a Group One (and 5 points!!) under judge Doug Windsor starting from the BredBy class with Maralyn handling her the whole way!

Had a VERY fun time last weekend (May 2nd/3rd) attending a Baldwin (Ocala) NADAC night trial.   Lynda (from TX) and Grace flew in on Thurs to spend a few days with us and also attend the trial!!

Flame was only entered in 3 runs per night, but did do well overall Q'ing in 4 of his 6 runs -- earning 1-Elite Weavers, 2-Elite TnG's and 1-Novice Hoopers Q's.  GOOD BOY!!

Camden was entered in 12 runs for the weekend (his most yet to date)!  Though I think he was getting mentally tired by the 6th run each night he did VERY well Q'ing in 8 of his 12 runs!!! :))   He earned 2 - Open Weavers, 2-Elite Tunnelers, 2-Novice TnG's and
2-Novice -Hoopers Q's!!!
His NQ's in Weavers and TnG were all due to an off course in the wrong tunnel
(just can't get that boy to pull off when he's committed!! <VBG>)

Other big news is that CAMDEN was awarded the OPEN DOG HIGH IN TRIAL!!!
(his first HIT in NADAC)

Also after not having trialed in agility since last Nov - Lynda and Grace came out to Q in 8 of her 12 Elite runs -- GOOD GIRLS!!!
(and all 1st places)

Camden with his High in Trial Open Dog - ribbon and great picture frame (note: NADAC purple! <G>)
Had a wonderful weekend in Palmetto at the Cool Critters NADAC trial (April 19th/20th).

Flame Q'd in 5 of his 6 runs and taking 1st place in all of those!! :)))  He earned 3- Elite Regular Q's and 2 - Elite Jumpers Q's.   GOOD BOY Flame!!!

Then to top that Camden Q'd in 6 of his 8 runs!!!   And ALL of his Q's were 1st places also (except the Novice Chances he Q'd in as its a pass/fail class where no placemenents are awarded).

He earned 2-Open Jumpers Q's, 2- Open Tunnelers Q's, 1-Novice Chances Q and 1- Novice Weavers Q.

ALSO he completed THREE TITLES!  His "OJC" (open jumpers), "TN-O" (open tunnelers) and "WV-N"  (novice weavers).

The Golden boys and I attended a Rally trial in Eustis this weekend (March 22nd/23rd) for our first attempts in Rally Excellent.

Well we came home with legs #1 and #2 on BOTH boys!!  Dreamer is in the Excellent B class and Camden in Excellent A
(both his legs were 1st places).
One more leg to go for that "RE" title!

TOP TEN BY BREED in NADAC results are in!!!!

Dreamer makes the top ten for Golden Retrievers in FIVE of the SIX classes for 2007 in limited showing
(and at 11-12 yrs old)!!
(I haven't shown him in Elite weavers for a couple years now)
#2 in Elite Chances
#3 in Elite Jumpers
#2 in Elite Regular (Standard)
#5 in Elite Touch N Go
#8 in Elite Tunnelers

GREAT WEEKEND here in FL at the Baldwin NADAC agility trial in Ocala (3-8/9-08)

Though the weekends weather was perhaps the oddest I've had in my MANY years of trialing in FL (first rain friday, then 40+ mph winds ALL day on Sat and then hard frost on the ground Sunday a.m. then warming to full sun and quite warm!) - regardless we all had a good time playing with our dogs!!!

Flame Q'd in 5 of his 8 runs :)  Good boy!  1-Elite Regular, 2-Elite Chances, 2-Elite Jumpers.  He missed a beautifully run Q in Elite weavers by breaking his stay and me putting him back, hence getting a "training E" - but still getting to run his run........darn!   And we had one bar down in a Regular and 1 off course in a TnG run.

Camden was the little star of the weekend -- his 4th trial out and he Q's 6 out of his 8 runs!!! (the baby is growing up )

First time in Novice weavers he Q's in BOTH runs -- getting 1st places and WELL under SCT! :))  (yippee he can weave "in public" and with distractions!!).   Next he Q's in Novice Jumpers for his 3rd Q and "NJC" title!!!! (and ran it at 7.6 yps! <G>), then moved up and he earns his first Open Jumpers Q, both runs were 2nd places - 1 second behind 1st place!   Then he goes on and earns his first Novice Chances Q! (only 3 Novice dogs Q'd).   AND lastly he earns his first Open Tunnelers Q and 2nd place......

His 2 - NQ's were both due to an off course in the Novice TnG runs..........

Dreamer had a great time hanging out, visiting, getting "freebie cookies"  and running around playing before and after the boys ran their runs! :)))

Two new titles this weekend (Feb. 23rd and 24th) for the golden boys!!!

We were entered in the ODTC Obedience trial in Orlando competing in Rally.

Dreamer earned two legs in Advanced B - to earn his "RA" title at 12.5 yrs old!!!

Camden also earned two legs in Advanced A - with two first places to earn his "RA" title!!!   WAY to go BOYS!!!!

Camden - Advanced "A" rally class (360* to the right sign), earned his "RA" on this run. 2-24-08
Dreamer in Advanced B Rally - ODTC trial. Doing the serpentine part of the course. Earned his "RA" on this run at 12.5 yrs YOUNG! :) 2-24-08

BIG, BIG NEWS!!!

The boys and I attended the Cool Critters NADAC Games trial in Valrico, FL this past weekend (Jan. 5th and 6th).

Flame needed one Elite TnG Q to earn his first Versatility NATCH
(regular NATCH but also 130 points in each of the "Special Skills" games, ie: Tunnelers, Touch n Go and Weavers).

He also had the potential to be the FIRST dog in FLORIDA to have one! :)

So on Sat. our first run of the morning was Elite TnG --- Flame goes out and though we were a little "disconnected" shall we say for the first couple obstacles we clicked in and completed clean and with a 1st place!!!

Flame can now add a "VERSATILITY NATCH" to his name!!!!!

And yes, he did become the first dog in FLORIDA to have earned one!

Is this called "Kissing up to the judge???" !!! Becky, Flame and Sarah Fix (judge)

At the same Cool Critters games trial -- Camden got to play and earned his 2nd and 3rd Novice Tunnelers legs for his FIRST AGILITY TITLE! :)))

He now can add a "TN-N" (Tunnelers Novice) title to the end of his name!

And he did them in style earning TWO - 1st places, running his first run at 6.0 yards per second and his second run at 5.78 yards per second!!

The boy LOVES his tunnels!!! :)))
