Pet Funerals
Only a pet can leave paw prints on your heart

Losing a much loved pet can be as much a bereavement as losing any other loved one: It leaves us empty and sad, and with a need for closure.

Sometimes we bury our pets, and sometimes we choose to have them cremated and keep their ashes, but increasingly people are recognising their need to grieve and mark the occasion through services and ceremonies; either in the immediate aftermath of losing their pet - and choosing burial at home or at a pet cemetary - or at a later date to bury or scatter ashes, or plant a tree or shrub in remembrance.

Revd. Elaine Matthews-Loydall is a Christian Minister, who is also involved in dog rescue, and has a deep understanding of the relationship between pets and their owners; offering pet funerals as part of a wider service of Life Ceremonies.

The Cost: £40
(in the Notts, Derbys, Leics areas)

All the best in your latest venture. Our family appreciated your support at my Dad's funeral. You bought the right mix of seriousness and warmth to the occasion
