I happened upon your site while going thru threads on Dave's Garden. I would love to have some of your Crocosmia. I have several plants to trade: small and large hostas, red climbing rose, white peonie, crepe murtle, and forsythia. Or, I could send fudge. It seems since I took some of my fudge to the round up here in Arkansas, it has become the trade of choice.LOL

I found your site by happy accident. It's a mine of information that is particularly relevant to me as we've bought a house with millions of neglected crocosmia - now I know what to do with them. I like the plant genealogy info too; it definitely helps to understand the provenance of a cultivar. Thanks a lot.

Hi Mark

Nice to hear from you - I can't believe there are so many varieties of this plant.

You've certainly put Caistor on the map.

Love Jean, Messingham

Hi Mark,

Checked out your site and falling snowflakes. I can't wait to see what is up next. Please send a reminder when the new site is active.

We've connected with a grower in the Netherlands to build up Croc stock to be shipped to the States. It will take a couple of years but, at least, it is start.

The image is of Geranium Rozanne the 2008 Plant of year bordered on the upper left by the brilliant red Crocosmia Lucifer and false sunflower Heliopsis Loraine Sunshine.

All the best in the coming New Year!

Gary

Hi Mark

I've checked; it seems crocosmia are called 'coppertips' in south-west USA.

Hope that helps.

Tim

Great webpage - full of information and images. The growing tips were great - made me realise how I maltreated my crocosmia for so many years. I made amends since & do they flower their little hearts out.

Hi Mark, I was searching for Crocosmia Emily something-or-other, and came across your site; I can't believe how many Croc's there are! They are not easy to find in the USA. I can't wait to get started on next year's garden. Thanks for the inspiration. Nice dog too!

Hello Mark...this is my third attempt to sign your guestbook. Hopefully it'll take this time since I quit trying to add a picture.

Nice pictures by the way. And since you like flowers and photographing them, have you ever viewed my flower album on flickr? Didn't think so, but you ought to.

Big hugs & kisses,

Lacey
