November 24th, 1988 - November 26th, 2006
This website was designed to honor the life of Danielle Bernard. Danielle was fondly known as “Dani” to all of her friends and family. On Sunday November 26th Dani died of head trauma caused by an off-roading accident during a family vacation. We invite everyone who visits this site to sign in on the message board and share with us fond memories. Dani would want all of us to remember all the positive ways she impacted our lives.
Dani lived in Lake Forest, California where she attended Lake Forest Elementary, Serrano Intermediate and El Toro High School. She was a marvelous student, always doing above and beyond what was expected of her in all of her classes. Both her teachers and peers adored her. She played Water polo during all four years of her high school career and was involved in the stat program, becoming the head of stats during her senior year. Dani also worked for the Saddleback Valley Recreation Department Swim Venture Program teaching swim lessons for the past four years. She was one of the most popular swim instructors. She was always happy and animated around the staff, students and parents. She took personal responsibility for everything she did. Dani was the perfect choice for a pool manager position at Trabuco Hills High this past season. Just as she was on her water polo team, Dani was a valuable leader that played a major role in the success of the summer swim lesson program. Dani started her first year at the University of California San Diego this past fall.
Dani set an example of how we should all live our lives. She always saw the bright side of life and was more concerned with others than she was herself. We will miss her greatly. In order to honor Danielle’s life, Swim Venture Swim School will be naming our new animated water safety character “Princess Dani”. This logo will be introduced in January of 2007. We will use this logo in all of our advertising and hope that every time you see this logo you will remember Dani’s commitment to staying positive and always helping others.
In Loving Memory,
