We all had a wonderful time at Hawea Camping ground. And the Lake was made for skiing and fishing. Some of the kids skied for the first time and some managed first time on one ski. Amanda comes to mind.. We had a prank of gluing the coin outside the kitchen and then sat up on the hill outside our cabins watching the fun. Mr Dick Cotter was always around with his cheery self. By the way the Cotter family retired as the camp custodians this month after 39 years.
A big highlight was the time trial between sisters Carol and Rena ( the Evans Sisters) round the ablusion block and round behind the cabins. Amanda cut Carol's hair!! Everyone still smoked.. Ivan took all day to change a tyre He He!!!!
Holiday stars this year were Carol and Lawrence. Steve and Paul Dougherty with his friends. Rena and Ivan Butel with Karen, Jane & Amanda. Brian Butel, David and Sarah. cousin Mark. Chris Morrow. A visit one evening from The Christies from Glenary Norman, Pat, Sandra Carol and Amanda. The Landrebes.
