Christmas Day 2001 after our Christmas dinner at Leo (Lee) & Eileen (Ma) Doughertys', we made a pilgrimage to the Garibaldi Diggings this historic diggings the legacy of Italilan gold miners including ancesters Bridget and James Spedderi. It was such a beautiful day. Greg and Paula Dougherty had friends from Jasper in Tennessee Rachel & Daniel here for Christmas so was a good chance to show them our history. By the way Daniel was a gun at the backy chewing and spitting giving me a lesson. Paul Dougherty and Francie Morrow (nee Dougherty) on the Motor bike led the way and opened the gates. (Paul was hoping that it was James & Bridget Spedderis' window he was sitting in). We all checked that our names were still in the hut from years ago, some new names were added. It was Charles James Garrawaye's second Christmas. Eileen (nee Elliot aged 91) & Leo Dougherty aged 90. Annie Evans aged 86. Bernard Dougherty. Des & Wendy (nee Evans) Dougherty.
