Kobi is Cali's "older brother" and is out of AmCh Charms Halloween Havoc CD CGC  AmCh Wickham Jan-U-Berry Jam. Bred for the show ring, crytorchidism disqualified him from the breed ring. Originally trained by my mom, Shirley Viars, Kobi achieved his CD on April 1, 2006. Kobi continued to train for his CDX and finally achieved that title on January 17, 2009. In the meantime Kobi earned his UKC CD on February 10, 2008 and his UKC CDX on February 28, 2009.

Kobi earned his AKC Rally Novice title on April 19, 2009 with 2 qualifying scores and a 3rd place. He just competed in his first UKC Rally Trial on 10/9/09. Not only did he came in first place with a perfect score of 100, he was also high in trial.

 

2010 was a good year for Kobi. Kobi finished his Rally Advanced Title in AKC in 3 shows. He came in 2nd with a 99 at the Salisbury Kennel Club show. He placed 4th at the Lancaster Kennel Club Show. Kobi finished his title at the Delaware County show with a 94 & first place!!!

Kobi started his quest for his Rally Excellence Title at the Gunpowder Golden Retriever Specialty held at Timonium Fairgrounds on April 23, 2010, Kobi earned his first Rally Excellence leg with a 91 & Third Place!!

The very next day, Kobi earned a qualifying score of 98 at the Old Dominion Kennel Club Show & his second Rally Excellent leg.

Kobi finished his URO2 title in UKC Rally over the weekend of June 5/6. On the 5th, he earned a qualifying score of 85 in his first trial and a 97 & Fourth Place at the second trial that was being held by K9 Konnection. On the 6th, he earned a qualifying score of 95 and a 96 & Fourth Place at the second trial.

Kobi has really come into his own with Rally. He started his pursuit for the RAE title at the Shetland Sheepdog Club of Greater Baltimore in July.

Kobi has earned his RAE on February 13, 2011 with a 2nd in Rally Advanced & a 3rd in Rally Excellent.

Kobi turned 10 on April 30, 2011. He has had some recent health issues including the removal of a cancerous tumor & Horner’s Syndrome. He still loves to work & goes to training whenever we train privately & to show n go’s.
