Charity
Dear Elaine
(a quick scribble)
Charity is doing great..loves playing with the kids and lying on the rug under the air conditioner.
It's nice to have her back...thanks for everything...keep it up!

It's certainly better inside with my air - con.
Jana
|
I would like to introduce my puppy - "Jana". She is 7 months old, and a great source of enjoyment for me and for my other pets. Jana's best friend is only 6 weeks old and about 12cm tall !! He is a tiny stray kitten that I found abandoned, and even though Jana is a giant compared to him, she is very gentle and they spend hours playing together.

Jana is allowed to socialise with an assortment of other dogs and she has impressed many people that have never really had any contacts with Greyhounds. She loves to play in the water at the beach but isn't as keen when it comes time for a bath!
As someone who was never terribly keen on greyhounds until a few years ago, I can now proudly tell anyone who may ask that they make wonderful companions, they can be great watchdogs and an animal that you can feel pride in owning. I would hope that many more people discover how wonderful these dogs are, and can save a life of a dog that they can treasure as much as I treasure mine !!
Cheers

Maddy
Maddy was such a small greyhound that her owners thought that she would never race, she weighed 18.5 kilos when she was fully grown. They were right, Maddy never raced. Instead she was rehomed and her new mum loves her very much.
Sue had tried to adopt a greyhound before but found that the one that was shown to her had serious ongoing problems and would eventually suffer from them.
She adopted a black female that had broken her leg, unfortunately the plaster had been allowed to get wet before it was supposed to come off.
After a few mishaps, Sue realised that this beautiful girl would never be able to go up and down the back steps without causing herself more injury.
The bitch was returned to the program and it left Sue heartbroken.
A vet advised her to get in touch with us, to see if we had a dog suitable for her. After a few months along came Maddy and I knew instantly that this was the one for her. Sue loved her at first sight but was still thinking of the previous dog she had to return, so she asked us if she could have her for a few weeks to see if they would get along together.
I called in on Sue and Maddy a few days later to see how they were getting along...................As you can see from the picture below, Maddy had claimed a beanbag for herself, and really made herself at home. It wasn't long before she began to sleep in Sue's room so another beanbag was put beside Sue's bed and every morning she was found sleeping with her new mum ( not on the beanbag ) until it was time for the morning walk. She also took to the family cat straight away and she waited to clean up the tidbits he left in his bowl every night.
Sue and Maddy are now inseparable.
Bev, I hope you read this and know that your Maddy has found her forever home.
I love my new mum
Cinders
Hi Cinders is really good. As you can see she has settled in well...She is well behaved and as happy as a 'pig in mud'.
As you can see by the photos, she has found the bed, but she is not allowed to sleep on it at night.
Thank you for giving her to us, she has found a great forever home.
GREYHOUNDS DO MAKE GOOD PETS.
Thanks a lot Keep in touch Lynette
Shhhhh, don't tell mum I found her bed...
Harry
Hi Shirley,
Just thought I'd let you know that the two dogs are very well. They seem happy here, have made their own racetrack around the yard and are even good guard dogs, albeit a bit barky at times.
They are both super-affectionate, especially harry. The kids at my school love them when I take them there or to hockey training.
There have been no illnesses and their coats are still nice and shiny, even in winter.
Attached are a few phots of them, Zed is the first one and Harry the other two.
Thanks again for helping us in getting them.
Paul and Tash
Thank you for letting me live with my new family and Zed..we really love being together again.
Zed
Thanks for this.
Zed, as Tash told you, is doing well. Quite relaxed and into a routine very easily re toilet breaks, sleeping area and dinner. Wonderful dog and we have all made very much a good choice.
Tash is very keen to take Harry as well as I think she mentioned to you.
We have holidays in 10 days time if you can wait until then and we can come out, unless you would like to come and visit Zed, in which case you are more than welcome to.
Thanks for all your help,
Paul Diete
This is the life, and we have made a racetrack in mum and dads back yard too.
