To the Spear family -

Recently I found the article how the school named their late teacher as teacher of the year. I was shocked to read and see the picture of Jeff. I thought to myself - I know this face and smile! I had taken classes with Jeff in college, I can't remember whether it was in the credential program, or in the Master's program.

Reading your posts made me realize why he has that smile. Thank you for sharing your strength and inspiration.

I was at the Angels game last week & thought of the World Series game 7 we were at in 2002. Can't believe that was 7 years ago & still can't believe you are gone! Always thinking of you!

I miss you Jeff and seeing his smiling face when I come home from work each day. In his honor, I surfed as much as I could for one year (August 2008 to August 2009). So far I've done 54 surf sessions in Jeff's honor. Thanks for the inSPEARation! Love ya Ruthe for your amazing strength. God bless you and your kids.
