About Mindy Lytle
My Bio

I started my competitive career with dogs in obedience at the age of 14 with a Kerry Blue Terrier and went on to Jr. handling and conformation showing.  I have been involved with the sport of Agility since 1994.

I was an Artful Dodger member in Baltimore Maryland and started the agility program for Catoctin Kennel Club in Maryland.  I also started the agility program for Companion Dog Training Center in Ft. Myers, Florida.

After moving to Florida, I was the Chairperson/President of Dog-On-It Agility Club of Central Florida for a number of years.

Zoe, my 12 inch Jack Russell Terrier, has achieved her MACH 5, ADCH, UDCH and NATCH, making her one of the very few dogs with championships in all venues of agility. She was ranked in the top ten 12 inch dogs, in all classes, for six years. She placed in the USDAA’s Grand Prix finals three out of five times attended, and placed third in the $4000 Dog Agility Steeplechase Championships in 2000. She has been the #1 Jack Russell Terrier and top terrier in AKC and #1 Jack Russell Terrier for the most MACH points. She placed fifth, two out of three AKC Championship finals attended.  Zoe has also earned her Senior Earthdog title and Rally Excellent title.  Zoe is currently retired, happily hunting lizards and soaking up the sun.

My second dog, Sting, a 7.5-year old Jack Russell Terrier, earned his AKC breed Championship title at the age of six months.  He has earned his ADCH in USDAA and Elite title in NADAC, Championship in UKC, and is at the Excellent level in AKC. In 2005 and 2007, Sting was a Steeplechase finalist at the USDAA Nationals. He was also a Grand Prix finalist in 2007.

My 6-year old border collie, Switch, has achieved her USDAA ADCH, AKC MACH and is currently competing in the Elite level in NADAC.  In 2007 Switch placed 5th at the AKC National Agility Championships 24" division.

Shocker is my 3-year old Border Collie who has been competing for a over a year. He has already earned his ADCH and is working in the Excellent level in AKC and the Elite level in NADAC.

The newest member of my house is a Border Collie named Smack.  She is about a year and is doing great with her training.  Smack is such a cool puppy!
I currently give private and group lessons at my home in East Orlando and I also conduct agility seminars and workshops at my field or yours.

I am a dog portrait artist, mural painter, agility instructor and full-time agility competitor
