Web-mistress's Dad George ROTHERAM on this one, 3rd from the left, rest is a mystery. Two names on the back are M HEATON, Wellhouse Road, Barnoldswick & T W Dean 1 Cliffdale Grove, Leeds 7. It was taken in Darlington. Dad was in the R.A.S.C. during the 2nd World War. Serving in Italy, The Desert Campaign, Libya, France, Germany - so there may be people you can recognise on this.
Another from myown personal collection. I am on it, but not owning up to which one.....
Names I remember are,
Susan BROWN, Nadine PROWSE, Una, Yolande TOWERS, Margery, Katherine, Kathleen, Phillip, Barry
The dance mistress was Valerie FARRAR shown in the middle.
The dance studio was in Eastburn.
DO you recognise yourself?
Again Dad (George ROTHERAM) after an operation at Keighley Victoria Hospital. Dad is to the right at the back in a check dressing gown.
Another picture taken in the grounds of Keighley Victoria Hospital. Dad to extreme right, he used to mention Sister DAWSON, who he was in awe of.
Unknown, in my Family pictures George ROTHERAM extreme Right.
Can you add any names?
An Andertons Coach, going for a day trip - I now know this was a Marks & Spencer's trip info from Mrs Lowcock. I think it is Heber Street. Mum is on this one Lilian ROTHERAM nee CLEWER - no one else known - Mum is next to Lena Hewitt - with a hat on. I recognise the girl at the front who I think I went to school with as Barbara Lowcock, her mum and dad also on this.
Info from Pat Hewitt - thanks Pat -
It is indeed mum just in front of the bus (lady with dark hair directly in front of the upright on the driver's
windscreen) on both photos. The photograph was circa 1951
By the way little old me is on both of them too. In the 1st photo I am
on the front row, dark coat, kneeling, hands clasped.
In the 2nd photo I am the 4th child along from the left and the girl
next to me has her arm through mine.
I think perhaps it is a little later than Pat thinks - she dates this about 1951, which does not tie in with Barbara Lowcock on this, who is probably the same year of birth as me, 1948......so think it must be later (where on earth am I?) probably hiding.
The Hewitt family consisted of
Mum Helena (Lena) Hewitt and daughter Pat Hewitt who lived with their
family ( Dad Charles[Charlie], sisters Joan, Brenda & Kathy at
CRISTALLO, Mannville Road off Oakworth Road.)1
Andertons Coaches again, different lineup this time........1
Picture with DSG on the back, this came from a collection of Dean, Smith & Grace pictures, can anyone help with WHO,WHY & WHERE ?
Another group of ladies, Lilian CLEWER in the middle - do you recognise the others. Mum would have been 90 on May 7th which helps to date it.
Lilian CLEWER in the middle, who are the two other ladies. Dated 25 May 1939 on the back
Another local gathering, the only person known is Sarah CLOUGH nee HILTON
Again nothing known, found in my Ernest CLEWER Srs photographs.
This wonderful old picture was loaned to me by Peter J Harrison of Keighley, CAN ANYONE help at all, with location, event, time etc.....????
Postcard overprinted at the back with Hall & SIggers, written in pencil is St. John's.
Can you help?
Thanks Bill for this picture of Darling & Sellers.
William Darling's brother (?) Robert ran a Lathe Manufacturing company in Lawkholme Lane, Keighley with a partner Darling. William Sellers started his own business making the "New Fangled Sewing Machine"
Does anyone have any further information about these two men, or any of the people on the picture one of whom we know is Bill's late father.
Nothing at all known.
Smith Brothers & Fosters 1946
The only person we can name is Eric BUCKLEY to the left in naval uniform
ANother complete mystery picture?
W Speight - PHotographer on the back

The second picture found by Lisa in The United States. Thank you so much Lisa for giving us the opportunity to see these.1
I have been researching for ages for my grandparents families and have had some luck
but I am enclosing a picture I have of them with my father on my grandmother's knee
and an uncle standing behind which I believe would have been taken around 1904 as
my father was born July 7th that year. Came to Canada not long after.
The picture was taken in Keighley at A. Lager, thought it might be of interest to someone
and maybe to me if someone happens to be related.
Frederick Wainwright Smith and Henrietta Lloyd married Dec. 25, 1897, Bramley, Yorkshire.
They must have lived in Bradford at some point before coming to Canada. My grandfather
was a mechanic or tool and die maker
