People - Early 1900s
BEFORE TELEVISION - 14 x 20 - charcoal on paper - $1500
Before everyone had a television people had to entertain themselves.  Friends would frequently gather at each others house to party, play games, dine, and otherwise socialize.  This group of men is putting on their own vaudeville skit.  Their costumes consist of long-johns, sofa cushions, and lampshades - of which they seem to be one short. -  William F Mahan
