I 2001 var jeg på en helt fantastisk rejse til Australien, opfyldelsen af en meget gammel drøm!  Turen var delt i 3 dele: Sydney, Red Centre og Queensland og jeg havde en lille uge hvert sted. Der er en kort rejsedagbog under "Travel Diary" i menuen og en mere udførlig beskrivelse af hver del af turen med billeder på hver underside. Nogle af de fedeste oplevelser har jeg på video. Kort over min rute findes herunder.

In 2001 I went on a fantastic trip to Australia, a very old dream come true! I divided the trip i 3 parts: Sydney, Red Centre and Queensland and spent just under a week each place. Check out the menu on the left, there´s a brief travel diary and more detailed descriptions and photos of each part of the trip on the subpages. Some of the greatest events I also have on video. My route map is shown below.

En 2001 realicé un fantástico viaje a Australia, ¡un sueño  hecho realidad! Dividí el viaje en tres destinos: Sydney, Red Centre y Queensland y pasé una semanita en cada lugar. Mira el menu a la izquierda para leer el breve diario del viaje y las subpáginas para leer más detalles y ver fotos de cada parte del viaje. También hay vídeos de las cosas más espectaculares. DK 1. del af turen: Flyvetur med Singapore Airlines fra Palma til Madrid og så via Zürich med et teknisk stop til Singapore. Turen Zürich - Singapore tog 14 timer. Videre fra Singapore til Sydney og yderligere 7 timer. Ankomst Sydney den 28. september kl 20 lokal tid. Ophold på 5 dage i Sydney.

2. del af turen: Fly med Qantas fra Sydney til Alice Springs midt i den røde australske ørken i Red Centre. Turen tog 3.5 timer. Ankomst den 3. oktober ved middagstid. Her havde jeg lejet bil og blev i 6 dage.

3. del af turen: Med fly fra Ayers Rock lufthavn til Cairns i Queensland på den australske østkyst ved det berømte koralrev Great Barrier Reef. Tur på 2.5 timer. Ankomst 8. oktober og ophold på 4 dage.

Hjemturen: Flyturen hjem blev megalang. Jeg skulle først flyve fra Cairns til Sydney for at komme med mit internationale fly. Det gik så via Singapore til Paris med et teknisk stop, videre til Madrid og så Palma. Godt 30 timer i alt undervejs så jeg var rimelig smadret da jeg endelig nåede hjem:-)
                                                         
UK 1st part of the trip: Flight with Singapore Airlines from Palma to Madrid, then on to Zürich with just a technical stop and further on to Singapore. The flight from Zürich to Singapore took 14 hours. Then from Singapore to Sydney which was a further 7 hour flight. Arrival in Sydney on the 28th September at 8 pm local time. I stayed 5 days in Sydney.

2nd part of the trip: Flight with Qantas from Sydney to Alice Springs in the middle of the Australian dessert called the Red Centre. Flight took 3.5 hours, arrival on 3rd October lunch time. At Alice Springs I had a rented car waiting for me and I spent 6 days in the Red Centre.

3rd part of the trip: Flight from the Ayers Rock airport to Cairns in Queensland on the east coast by the famous Great Barrier Reef. Flight took 2.5 hours, arrival on 8th October. I stayed 4 days.

Homebound: The return trip was loooong as I had to fly from Cairns to Sydney to catch my international flight, then on to Singapore, then via Paris with just a technical stop to Madrid and finally to Palma. Over 30 hours onroute and absolutely exhausted on arrival!
                                                          
ES 1ª parte del viaje: Vuelo de Palma a Madrid con Singapore Airlines, luego via Zürichs con una parada técnica hasta Singapore. El vuelo de Zürich a Singapore duró 14 horas. Luego de Singapore a Sydney que fueron otros 7 horas de vuelo. Llegada a Sydney el 28 de septiembre a las 20 hora local. Estancia de 5 días.

2ª parte del viaje: Vuelo con Qantas de Sydney a Alice Springs en medio del desierto rojo australiano llamado Red Centre. Un vuelo de 3.5 horas, llegada el 3 de octubre al mediodía. En Alice Springs me esperaba un coche de alquiler y pasé 6 días en el Centro Rojo.

3ª parte del viaje: Vuelo desde el aeropuerto de Ayers Rock a Cairns, Queensland en la costa este donde se encuentra la famosa barrera de arrecifes Great Barrier Reef. Un vuelo de 2.5 horas con llegada el 8 de octubre y estancia de 4 días.

Y para casa: El vuelo de vuelta fue larguisima ya que tuve que volar primero desde Cairns a Sydney para coger el vuelo internacional, luego a Singapore, luego via Paris con una parada técnica hasta Madrid y por último a Palma. ¡Más de 30 horas de viaje en total y llegué MUERTA!

DK Jeg rejste alene og organiserede selv turen da ingen af de færdigpakkede ture på markedet faldt i min smag og desuden skulle jeg betale extra for at rejse alene! Flyturen købte jeg direkte hos Singapore Airlines som havde rimelige priser. Indenrigsfly, lejebil og hoteller undervejs bestilte jeg via nettet hos et lokalt rejsebureau i Australien og det fungerede vældig fint. Jeg lagde selv rute over hvad jeg ville se hvert sted og brugte internettet til at finde information. Mit største problem var at jeg kun havde knap 3 uger til rådighed - og 3 måneder havde været mere passende for at se dette imponerende land!

UK I travelled alone and planned the trip myself as none of the packages offered by agencies fitted my needs and they also wanted to charge me extra for being on my own! I bought the flight direct with Singapore Airlines who had very competitive prices. The domestic flights, rent a car and some hotels I booked on the internet via a local travel agent in Australia and it worked out really well. The routes and things to see along the way I planned myself on the basis of all the info I got off the internet. My main problem was that I  had less than 3 weeks holiday - and 3 months would have been more appropiate to see this inmense country!

ES Hice el viaje a Australia sola y lo organisé yo misma ya que no había ningún viaje organizado que me gustara ¡y además me cobraban extra por ir sola! El vuelo lo compré directo de Singapore Airlines que tenían muy buenos precios. Los vuelos nacionales, el coche de alquiler y algunos hoteles los reservé mediante una agencia de viaje local en Australia por internet y todo salió redondo. Las rutas en cada lugar los planeé yo misma mirando por internet las ofertas en cada sitio. Mi mayor problema era que tenía apenas 3 semanas de vacaciones ¡y 3 meses serían más apropiados para ver este inmenso país!
