The Grandjean-Thomsen Family
I Sydney boede jeg hos nogle fjerne slægtninge på min morfars side,
familien Grandjean-Thomsen der har boet i Australien i flere år. De tog utrolig kærligt imod mig på trods af at vi ikke kendte hinanden i forvejen og var med til at gøre opholdet i Sydney uforglemmeligt. En STOR TAK til Per & familie! 
In Sydney I stayed with some distant relatives on my grandfather's side, the Grandjean-Thomsen family who gave me a very warm welcome despite having never met before and made my Sydney stay unforgettable. A BIG THANK YOU to Per & his family!
En Sydney tuve la gran suerte de quedarme con unos familiares lejanos por parte de mi abuelo, la familia Grandjean-Thomsen. Me recibieron con los brazos abiertos a pesar de que no nos conociamos de antemano, y gracias a su hospitalidad mi estancia en Sydney fue inolvidable. MIL GRACIAS a Per & su familia!

I Sydney besøgte jeg Darling Harbour der sprudler af liv, det imponerende Sydney Aquarium, det verdensberømte Opera Hus på Circular Quay, tog på en bådtur rundt i havnen, klatrede over havnebroen Harbour Bridge, besøgte Taronga Zoo og Sydney's ældste kvarter The Rocks, spiste en overdådig frokost på fishmarket og shoppede tingeltangel på Paddy Markedet.
In Sydney I visited Darling Harbour with all its open-air life, the impressive Sydney Aquarium, the world famous Opera House on Circular Quay, went for a harbour cruise, climbed the famous Harbour Bridge, visited Taronga Zoo and Sydney's old town The Rocks, had a fab lunch at the fiskmarket and went shopping at the Paddy market.
En Sydney visité el puerto de Darling con mucho ambiente, el impresionante Sydney Aquarium, la mundialmente famosa Casa de la Opera en Circular Quay, hice un crucero por el puerto, escalé el famoso puente de Harbour Bridge, visité el Zoo de Taronga y el casco antiguo de The Rocks, disfruté de un fabuloso almuerzo en el mercado de pescado y hice las típicas compras el el mercado de Paddy.
Sydney highlights
Med Per & Yvonne var jeg på en fantastisk flot tur til Blue Mountains, og også på besøg i Waratah dyrepark hvor jeg fik chancen for at fodre kænguruer og klappe koalaer til min store fryd. Vi var også på besøg i den Danske Klub i Sydney hvor vi fik stor dansk frokost og drak Tuborg og snaps. Jeg var naturligvis også inde og se Operahuset, men højdepunktet af mit Sydneyophold var uden tvivl kravleturen hen over Harbour Bridge, et 3-timers eventyr med BridgeClimb hen over broens catwalk og op over buen til toppen, hvorfra der var en ubetalelig udsigt over Sydney Harbour og Opera Huset. With Per & Yvonne I went on a fantastic excursion to the Blue Mountains, and we also went to the Waratah Park where I got the chance to feed kangaroos and cuddle koalas, to my great joy. We also went to visit the Danish Club in Sydney where we had a big Danish lunch with Tuborg beer and snaps! I did of course also visit the Opera House, but the highlight of my Sydney visit was undoubtedly the climb to the summit of the Harbour Bridge, a three-hour adventure with BridgeClimb that takes you by the catwalk and over the arch to the top where you have some spectacular views of Sydney harbour and the Opera House. Con Per & Yvonne hice una excusión a las preciosas montañas de Blue Mountains, y también fuimos al Parque Waratah donde tuve ocasión de darles de comer a los canguros y rascarles la espalda a los koalas - encantada de la vida! Además visitamos el Club de Daneses Residentes en Sydney donde disfrutamos de una gran comida danesa con cerveza Tuborg y aguadiente snaps! Por supuesto visité también la Casa de la Opera pero lo más espectacular de mi visita en Sydney fue sin duda escalar el puente de Harbour Bridge, una aventura de 3 horas pasando por el catwalk y subiendo el arco hasta la cima desde donde había unas vistas inmejorables del puerto de Sydney y la Opera House.
