Sidste del af min Australiens tur gik til den tropiske stat Queensland ved verdens største koralrev Great Barrier Reef. Her slappede jeg af efter de mange indtyk på det skønne Rydges Reef Resort Hotel i den maleriske landsby Port Douglas, en times kørsel fra hovedstaden Cairns og beliggende ved den lange sandstrand 4 Mile Beach. Jeg var på en ridetur langs stranden og shoppede i Port Douglas. Jeg brugte en hel dag ude på revet med Quicksilver Reef Excursions og var også på besøg i landsbyen Kuranda der ligger midt i regnskoven.

The last part of my Australia trip I went to the tropical state of Queensland by the largest coral reef in the world, the Great Barrier Reef. Here I relaxed at the lovely Rydges Reef Resort Hotel in the pretty village of Port Douglas, one hours drive from the capital Cairns and by the 4 Mile Beach. I went for a horseride on the beach, and shopping in Port Douglas. I spent a whole day at the reef with Quicksilver Excursions and also visited the village of Kuranda in the heart of the rainforest.

La última parte de mi viaje a Australia iba al estado trópical de Queensland junto a la Gran Barrera de Arrecifes, el arrecife de coral más grande del mundo. Aquí pasé unos dias relajados en el lujoso hotel Rydges Reef Resort en el pintoresco pueblo de Port Douglas situado a una hora de la capital Cairns y junto a la bella playa de 4 Mile Beach. Fui a montar a caballo por la playa y hice compras en Port Douglas. Pasé un día entero en el arrecife con Quicksilver Excurtions y también visité el pueblo de Kuranda en el corazón de la selva tropical.
