Maria's gift to me on my 41st birthday was a ZipTrek weekend in Whistler.
We left early Saturday morning and headed for the mountains. Whistler recently got some snow so, it was quite beautiful.
For anybody that does not know what ZipTrekking is:
Experience the exhilaration of flying as you glide along steel ziplines suspended high above the breathtaking white-water river that divides Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains. Ziptrek Ecotours provides a discovery of mountain ecology that combines adventure with environmental education. Guided tours include five incredible zipline rides that gain progressively in height and length with the longest spanning over 1100ft. The ziplines are joined by a network of ground based boardwalks and trails, and by aerial stairways and bridges at heights of over eighty feet in the tree canopy!

After the Ziptrek we went back to our hotel for a nice hot tub. After a tub and a few drinks in the room
we went out to the Keg for some great steak.
The next day we had some rain. Maria and I did some window shopping in the village and had lunch at the Brewhouse restaraunt. Thanks to Mom and Jim for this gift. (http://www.findwhistler.com/page.cfm/3292)
I had a great weekend ZipTrekking, which was awesome and so was Maria.
Thank you Maria.
