NOVICE RING

GROUP SIT

Honoring : 35 Pts. This exercise tests the ability, willingness and training of the  HONOR dog to remain in the same place and position as commanded by the handler while the handler is in sight but across the ring approximately 30 feet away and another dog is working close by.  The Honor is performed during the heel on lead and Fig-8 exercise.

Both the HONOR dog and Working dog are being judged.
The Honor down serves as the long down stay which is performed in 'Groups' in AKC and ACSA trials.

UKC Groups are sit stays.

Recall Over The High Jump : 35 Pts. This exercise tests the ability, willingness and training of the dog to come when called by the handler even when there is a barrier between the handler and the dog
