AUSTRALIAN HONORARY AWARDS FOR TWO DESERVING MALAYSIANS

The Governor-General is pleased to announce the following honorary appointments and awards within the General Division of the Order of Australia:
HONORARY MEMBER (AM) IN THE GENERAL DIVISION
Mr Sevee CHARURUKS

For service to Australia by restoring and maintaining the Kundasang War Memorial and gardens to preserve the memory of Australia’s fallen soldiers in Sandakan, Ranau and on the death marches.

MPOA Monument & Gallery
The Malaysian Palm Oil Association has constructed a monument at Sungei Siput Estate, Perak, formerly known as Phin Soon Estate. This is where the Estate Manager was shot by guerrillas of the Malayan Communist Party on 16JUN1948.
The organizers need another 40,000 Ringitts to complete the construction task.
