Kennel Paliando's history
Our 5 Champions 2000 We are very proud having Champions in all three colours - all home bred !

Kennel Paliando celebrated it's 30 years jubilee in the year 2000.
We are breeders of Rough Colies in all three colours.

On average we one or two litters a year. The puppies need to be looked after and helped to deevelop their character before they leave for they new homes.
Forming the puppies character is very important. Most puppies are sold as family dogs.
A Collie is just perfect as a family dog . it's very sensitive and devoted to it's owner and the family.
When training a Collie you must be patient, understanding and consistent.

Our first Collie (in Norway) was bought through an advertisement in the local paper in 1971.
Rex was no showdog bur a wonderful and faithful family dog, who lived till he was 15 years old.
WE biught another male dog after Rex, unfortunately he had hip-displacement and was put down when he was only 3 years old.
(Now we know better and would never buy a puppy without making in quiries first. We advice prospective puppy buyers to do the same.

By then (when Scot died) we had a new puppy - called King.
We only showed him twice. Best Junior Class with HP is what he achieved - and second best male.

We were delighted . When Scor died we decided it was nice to have two dogs. After a lot of thought  we bought a Blue Merle Bitch - Bonnie. (La Vida's Blue Geordie Girl)
She was a fantastic Blue Bitch. Kennel Paliando started with her.
We have deliberately kept male dogs of our own breeding and bought in bitches from other lines.
We are proud when puppy buyers have success either with showing or breeding.

We are often asked about buying a puppy /Collie. Going from our own experince, and considering one is going to own their dogs for many years, we suggest the following:

Contact experinced breedwers to learn more about the breed.

Check the pedigree for health and temperament.

Visit the kennel and see for yourselves what the conditions are like.

Get advice on feeding, vaccination etc.

Summer 1999 we imported a lovely Sable Bitch from Scotland. (firecraig Dreamcatcher)

All visitors are welcome any time for a Collie - chat !
