Having brought Chase home in May 06 I hadn't given any more thought as to adding any more females, on Chase's first birthday I was offered Lois after she had her pups early in 2007 also from Chriskim Dachshunds, she is a lovely clear red with very nice pigmentation and conformation, I had to be patient whilst she had and then raised her 3 pups.
In March 07 we again all set off to collect Lois, the car was getting fuller each time we went on one of these trips, my Mum, Penny her dachsie, Rhuari, Chase and me driving. We got to meet two of Lois's pups Lola and Lucas, the other female had already gone to her new home, they were lovely, it showed me what I can hope Lois will produce for Rhodach when the time comes. Lois who I had seen when collecting Chase wasn't too sure of us all but I was prepared to work with her that she would love me as she had loved Kim.
We all set off for home and Lois was slowly introduced to Rhuari and Chase, there was no problems on that front, she soon fitted into the routine we had here. She was 2 years old a couple of months later and gradually came out of her shell, she is the first one on my lap when I sit down to watch TV and the last one to get down again.
Again I would like to thank Chriskim Miniature Longhaired Dacshunds for letting me have Lois, I am hoping she will have puppies for me sometime in 2008, which I am very much looking forward to after seeing the quality of the pups she had last time.
My dream came true when Lois had three shaded red pups on Xmas morning 2008.
It is with great sadness I announce the death of my darling girl, will see you one day at the Rainbow Bridge,run free.
