Bardwell Batty Bees

Queen Dorry registered the Bardwell Batty Bees in October 2007 having not found  a Chapter to join in her area Bardwell, ten miles outside Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk

Taking a pro-active stance Dorry made up some leaflets, leaving them in the local doctor's surgery and the Gym plus distributing more at the 2007 Bury Craft Fair

Their first gathering in January 08 numbered six ladies within a short space of time it doubled to 12 and now the Bardwell Batty Bees have 35 lovely ladies who have really taken to Red Hatting and sing it's praises everywhere

Fen Fatales of Holbeach

"Fen Fatales of Holbeach, the first Chapter of the Red Hat Society in Lincolnshire, started in March 2006 with 12 "girls". We now have 42. The whole concept started when I (Queen Junerose) went to America on holiday in 2005 and found a brooch in the form of a red hat which I bought for my Swedish friend of 40 years, who likes hats of all descriptions. I told her about the Society, and she started the first Chapter in Sweden (which ten of us visited last June). She visited me in March 2005 and suggested I start a Chapter, and after finding the nearest (at that time) was 100 miles away in Colchester, I "took my hat in my hand", so to speak, and the rest is history."

Gadabout Girls

Carol Queen Gadabout founded the Gadabout Girls in June 2008

Carol's first Chapter being The Sluice Women of Downham Market, Norfolk

However based in Wisbech in Cambridgeshire Carol quickly realised the need for a Chapter closer to home and after careful thought decided to start her own chapter..

Carol says 'It was the best thing I ever did..purely because of the personal stories that I have had from Members who have gotten so much benefit from becoming part of such a great group of women.'
A sentiment I know many other Queen's will certainly agree with!

In less than a year the Gadabouts have 40 members..with 8 more to join in January

Check out their fabulous website at www.gadaboutgirls.btik.com

Vancouver ~ Canada

Visiting Vancouver Canada why not check out the Sooke Sirens see page of this website 68 of this website

We are The Red Hat Sooke Sirens, the Mermaids of the Sea, and live on the west coast of beautiful Vancouver Island.  We started our chapter on May 31st 2004 with a get together of 13 ladies at Mulligan's Restaurant in Sooke BC.  Since then we have grown to a group of 40 wonderful ladies and we all live in Sooke.   Once a year on May 31st we go back to Mulligan's to celebrate our Anniversary.

Our chapter is always busy doing fun things; we have High Tea at The Empress Hotel, go on cruises once a year along with other Red Hatters, we go on picnics and have made three daringly nude calendars which have sold in many different countries in the world, and resulted in our chapter donating over $15,000 to the local Seniors' Drop In Center.   The ladies in our calendars range in age from 41 to 86, a combined total of 1442 years !   Some of the ladies have overcome cancer, stroke, mastectomy and heart attack but are enjoying life to the fullest while breaking the rules and simply "having fun" as Red Hatters.   We love to attend Pot Lucks, attend other chapter's events and plan events for our own home town
