Rally Obedience is a sport in which the dog/handler team completes a course of designated stations. Each station has a sign providing instructions regarding the next skill that is to be performed. There should be a sense of teamwork between the dog and handler during the completion of the course. Unlimited communication from the handler to the dog is to be encouraged and handlers are permitted to talk and praise. Rally provides a link from basic obedience to obedience or agility competition, both for dogs and handlers. In addition, rally promotes fun and enjoyment for dogs at all levels of competition (taken from the AKC website

).
Lessons
: during the winter months, when daylight is in short supply and schedules become snarled, you may want to keep up via a few lessons that can be organized at your convenience. This option will also allow you to focus on whatever challenges you are facing with your particular dog. The pricing structure will be the same as for agility: private ($45), semiprivate (two people @$22.50 each), and small-group (three people @ $15 each) lessons. Please contact Caroline Hunt at (843) 412-2290 or
