Welcome to our website
The Society was formed in 1971.
It currently has some 70 members. Meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month between October and April with the exception of a break over the Christmas period. Local speakers give talks at 11 meetings, a social event is held in January and the AGM in April at which there is also a guest speaker.
Meetings take place at the Swadford Centre, Swadford Street, Skipton and commence at 7.30 pm.
In the summer visits are arranged to local places of historic interest.
The current subscription, fixed at the AGM on 23rd April 2009, is £10. You can attend meetings of the Society without joining us. The fee for visitors is £2.00.
