Twilight
Rally
3.45pm Gear check for a 4pm start
We will start work towards Teams on the Flat for the Zone Finals that are held in August at Monarto. It may seem a long way away but as members that have taken part in the past will know; it takes a lot to get one of these tests out! So we will need to start practice early and the best way to do that is drill work; riding in pairs, fours and more. This is also a great excercise for getting horses and riders working together and communicating!
We are also looking to hold our next rally in conjunction with the Fleurieu Hunt Clubs Children's Encourage Hunt, which means people can work towards their Hunting Achievement Patch. All you need to do for this is participate in atleast one hunt and achieve a letter from the Master for doing so and have knowledge of basic hunting etiquette. Therefore we will be doing some theory at the rally on hunting etiquette, so that members that take part in both the theory session and the hunt at the following rally, will get their patch.

Christmas Gymkhana
It is a tradition that on our last rally for the year that we have a Christmas break up and gymkhana. We will be doing handler, hack and rider classes in the morning, followed by texas barrel, barrel jumping or musical mats. There will be a fancy dress in the lunch break and in the afternoon we will have several mounted games.
The first class starts at 9am and is unmounted and untacked (handler). Gear check will be at 9.15 for a 9.30 start with the mounted classes. We will be split into 4 groups, so please let one of our cheif instructors know if you will be attending by Fri 2nd Dec so groups can be organised before the day. There will be an aggregate award for each group to be awarded at the conclusion of the day.
You must be a fully finacial member. You may ride more than one horse but only horses that have attended atleast one rally are allowed to compete and aggregte points are for the combination, not the rider. Official uniform is to be worn (if you own one, otherwise a nice shirt and tie will be acceptable and jumpers may be available to borrow on the day).
We also ask that everyone brings 2 plates of party food to share; one savory and one sweet.
Good luck, enjoy the gymkhana and have a fabulous xmas and new year!

Homegrounds Rally OR Mount Pleasant XC Training Day
There's 2 choices for this months rally. If you choose to come for the rally at the polo grounds, we will be doing practice and preparation for the Mitton Memorial Gymkhana. First thing there will be a short (approx. 15mins) unmounted theory session on show prep. Then we will be doing hacking practice, including what a judge looks for in a rider class, working as a pair and workouts. There will be a BBQ lunch followed by games in the afternoon. The 3 novelties that will be at the Mitton will be set up to practice; bending, can race and thread the needle, as well as texas barrel for everyone to have a go at.
The second choice for this rally is to come to the Mount Pleasant Cross Country Training Day. You will get instruction on the course for 1 hour and this will give you a qualification on your card. They are also doing timed runs over the course. It is BYO lunch or you can buy food at the venue. There will be no rally fee, but you have to pay the entry fee of $20 to the Mount Pleasant Pony Club (entries close Fri 28th Oct). You must let Danni know via email; danniellehampton@hotmail.com, facebook or text if you would like to be involved in this rally option ASAP so we know numbers for the day and so preferable everyone enters the same time slot. If you do not wish to have a lesson, you can still ride but you WILL NOT be able to get a qually for the day. You can follow this link for more information and entry forms for the training day;
