Personal Appearance
Long hair requires to be tied back neatly Earrings need to be removed or taped General neat and clean appearance
It is expected that both you and your pony be turned out as clean as you can for each Rally. It is not necessary to have a squeaky-clean-to-the-skin pony but he should be free of visible dirt, dust, sweat, manure stains and his mane and tail groomed properly.
Saddles and bridles should be free from grease and dirt. In particular, dirty bits will not be acceptable for presentation at Gear Check. Oiled hooves and sunscreen (on you, not your pony) will earn you extra presentation points!
There is an award at the end of the year called the 'Presentation Award' for the horse and rider that has accumulated the most points for being well presented throughout the year. These points are allocated at the morning gear check for both rider and pony. There are also riding patches for 'Care of Saddlery' and 'Grooming'. These are awarded to riders whom have shown over a period of 6 months that they know how to take good care of their tack and how to keep their pony nice and clean!
