Strathalbyn Representative at 2011 Pony Club National Championships!

Success for Eventing Team at State Championship ODE!!
Well done and congratulations to our Grade 5 Eventing Team at the State Champs ODE held at Monarto, 18 & 19 June 2011. Jessica Hill, Alisha and Rebecca Burns, and Tilly Maywald all rode very well to finish in second place overall in the Grade 5 Club Teams event. Other riders to do us proud were Sophie Knight and Sophie Nairn, who competed at the hotly contested Grade 4 level, while our Club President Cathy Knight quietly but efficiently took out 3rd place in the Adult Level 4.
Life Membership
Congratulations to Kerren Hampton, who was awarded Life Membership of the Strathalbyn Pony Club at the 2011 Annual Awards Presentation held on 5 June at the Clubrooms.
Kerren has been attending Strathalbyn Pony Club with her daughter Danni since September 2000. She was an adult member in 2002-4, back when the club catered for adult riding members as well as juniors. She has been on the committee since 2002, produced the Newsletter for 3 years and took on the role of Secretary in 2005. She was the Club's Events and Zone representative for four years, and has put in many hours at Club, Zone and State commitments on behalf of the Strathalbyn Pony Club. This prestigious award was made in recognition of Kerren's contribution to the Club over many years, was well deserved and very well received by a stunned and emotional Kerren - seems everyone in her family knew about it beforehand, and are very good at keeping secrets!
Membership
Membership for the 2011/2012 financial year is due at the July rally. Fees are as follows;
- $90 for the first family member
- $80 for the second
If you are unable to pay the full amount in one hit, there is the option of paying a $30 visitor fee which will cover insurance for 3 rallies and will then be deducted from the final amount due.

**AGM for 11/12 **
This years annual AGM is being held in conjunction with our June Rally
commencing at 1.00pm
in the club rooms at the Polo grounds
All financial members are entitled to vote on who shall be the clubs committee for the 11/12 financial year.
You must be over 18 to vote, so parents/guardians of members under 18 will vote on their childs behalf.
There will be NO proxy votes.

Second hand Gear
We have a lot of second hand gear in our clubrooms, so this is what we plan to do with it:
- 10% of sales go to the pony club
- All items MUST go to Tracy Hill for logging into our new book before it goes into the shed.
- All items to be clean and well marked with size, price, who owns it.
- All items to go through Tracy Hill when sold or taken home by owner so they can be removed from our log and correct money paid if sold.
- Items will be kept for a period of up to 3 months, then an e-mail will be sent regarding removal of unsold items.
- If items are not removed in the required time ( the following two rallys) then it will become the property of SPC and full profits of sale will go to the club.
- All items are left in the clubrooms are at your own risk and the SPC will not be held responsible for any items that may be damaged or stolen.
