All of these paintings are from the Lancaster County area of Pennsylvania where the AMISH way of life inspires us to look at everyday things with an appreciation for the simple "small" things in life in much the same way as would an artist. Thousands of tourists travel to Lancaster, Pennsylvania every year to sightsee some of Pennsylvania's most beautiful farms (with near perfect kicthen gardens!)  Thus, paintings these Amish and Mennonite Farm-scapes seems a very natural subject.
