We are The Liver Birds of Liverpool, UK
Official Chapter of the Red Hat Society for friendship and laughter for women who have attained the age of 50.
We came into existence on
20th June 2009
.
Our stated purpose is that we DON'T DO anything except have fun. We don't fund-raise or aim to better ourselves in traditional ways as we believe we have all been so dutiful and so busy for so long that we deserve a break. The Red Hat Society was created as a haven for unfettered happiness - making friends, chatting, laughing and having fun whilst dressed in Red, Purple, Glitz and Glamour.
NO RULES OK
The Red Hat Society is a DIS-organisation. There is only one rule – that we wear “the colours” whenever we do anything as Red Hatters – “purple on the shoulder and red on the head”. With the exception of events for "Liver Birds only" guests or friends are welcome – but only if they are willing to wear "the colours"!
The Liver Birds is an “open” chapter which means we are open to new members.
