Loving Homes wanted for FIV +ve Cats!
Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV)
The FIV virus reduces a cat's immune system, and leaves it more vulnerable to other feline infections - in itself is not life threatening.
FIV
CANNOT
be transmitted to humans or other animals
In our experience, FIV positive cats can have, and deserve to have, a long and healthy life. They need careful attention to their general health and diet, and protection through currently available vaccinations against flu and leukaemia are essential. But this is no more than any cat should receive.
A properly cared for FIV cat need not have a shortened life expectancy.

We have a number of cats who have tested +ve for FIV, see below. We are looking for indoor only homes for them, either on their own or with other FIV+ cats.

Spotty - HAPPY & HOMED
Hello... aren’t I a handsome chap? My name is Spotty... which is odd as I'm stripy.
I am FIV+, which isn't ideal but definitely not the end of the world! It just means my immune system isn't as good
as it should be. It also means I need an
indoor home so I don't pass it on to any other cats. However I've met a dog before and he seemed
quite nice, so perhaps I could live with a dog?
I love my foster mum and always try to get on her knee, usually before
she's even had chance to sit down!
Jet - HAPPY & HOMED
Jet is a shy black girl looking for an indoor only home. She would be happy to share with other cats. she is looking for a quieter adult only home where she will be given the time she needs to blossom.
Ruben - HAPPY & HOMED
Ruben is a very friendly black & white longhaired boy looking for an indoor home. He is happy to share with other FIV+ cats. He loves to be picked up and will happily be carried around!
Bruce - HAPPY & HOMED
Bruce
is a friendly quiet FIV+ chap. Who is looking for an indoor home and he is looking for a home without children. He takes a short while to get used to new people, buit likes attention once he gets to know you.
Perring - HAPPY & HOMED
Poor Perring; he has been living rough for some time now and his coat isn’t in very good condition.
He is a little shy, but a sweet boy who just needs some TLC to help him come out of his shell.
Perring is FIV+, so looking for an indoor home. He would probably prefer a quieter home without young children.
Daisy - HAPPY AND HOMED
Daisy was very shy and a little on the thin side when she came into our care, but is now really sociable and in fine physical condition. We think she's ready to go to a new home to get all the love and care she deserves. She would be happy to be homed on her own, or would happily share with other FIV +ve cats.
Ragan - HAPPY AND HOMED!
Very handsome quiet young FIV positve chocolate Burmese cross chap. Looking for loving forever indoor only home. This friendly chap is difficult to photograph on your own, he wants attention and just won't stand still!
Rufus - HAPPY AND HOMED!
Rufus is a friendly young cat. He is very affectionate and loving, and loves a good fuss. He likes to play with a piece of string, or play hide-and-seek. He is very pretty, and has a lovely temperament. He is looking for an indoor home as he is FIV+ Rufus is currently shring with Tesh, another FIV+ cat, they could be homed together or individually.
Tesh - HAPPY AND HOMED!
Tesh is a lovely older black & white boy. He is was little nervous when he first came into care, not used to all the love and attention he was receiveing ... but just look at him now! He is a friendly boy who likes to sit on your knee - or tummy!

**HOMED** Zulu - FIV +ve young chap who has really come out of his self and would happily share with most people. He can share with only other FIV +ve cats.

**HOMED ** Meet Samson (Sammy); he is an extremely affectionate boy, who loves company and having a lot of strokes. He is also a chatty boy. He likes to be with you all the time and follows his fostermum everywhere, so we think he'd appreciate having someone around a lot in the day.
