So Much Mischief So Little Time
Roar!
Please read this before contacting us about kittens

Before homing any of out kittens or cats we always carry out a home visit.  During the home visit we will discuss and check a number of things.

When trying to decide if a kitten is right for you, please consider the following…

  • Kittens should not be left alone for long periods of time as they get bored, lonely and hungry; and are less likely to mature into well balanced, sociable cats.  For those who work full time we would recommend a young adult cat or a pair or older kittens (6 months plus).

  • Toddlers and small kittens don’t mix!!  If you have a toddler under 3 yrs it is advisable to choose a kitten over 6 months.

  • Proximity to any busy roads must be considered.

  • Kittens can be expensive.  In addition to your donation please remember that a kitten will need vaccinating in 3 weeks time to finish its initial course, and will need neutering by 6 months
  • We only home kittens as indoor only when there is a medical reason to do so.

We also require any resident cats in the home to be neutered, and have up to date vaccinations.

If you live outside of our area you will need to contact your local branch to arrange a home visit.  Their details can be found on the main Cats Protection web site www.cats.org.uk  under ‘find us’ or by calling
