With a distinct
emphasis on adventure in our trails, we show you the area in small personalised groups that eat together, laugh together and enjoy some great riding on great surefooted trail horses.
One of the greatest benefits that you will enjoy when you choose one of our rides is the intimate, exclusive experience. A smaller group means more personal attention, more privacy and more individual space. You won’t get lost in a crowd with us; group size is limited to 7 enthusiastic riders per ride.
We also understand that nobody wants to ride with a solemn faced guide and we prefer the less mechanical approach, utilising home-grown knowledge and years of experience on the job at hand. We pride ourselves on giving you an authentic holiday experience you wont forget.
Safety is always an important factor on our rides, but so is the ability to laugh, joke and tell tales about the area.
To us the term "adventure" should never compromise safety, and for this reason the horses we use are trained to stay calm through different situations, and sure over difficult terrain.
Tuscany is renowned for its cities of art, its history and its famous artists and their works. But, it is the landscape and warm hospitality of the people, the solitary farmhouses and medieval villages, rows of vines, olive trees and cypresses that make it a perfect area to explore on the back of a horse. Combine this with an excellent climate, superb food, fabulous wine and well-schooled horses and you have the makings of an ideal holiday!
We invite you on a horseriding holiday that is completely unique, riding through some of the most spectacular countryside, and staying here at the beautiful Belmonte holiday resort. Improve your riding, by putting yourself to the ultimate test - an entire week of riding over diverse terrain, on a well trained horse.You will negotiate narrow forest tracks, canter through open valleys and swim in healing natural sulphar springs. Perhaps you are new to the idea of a riding holiday, or perhaps you are riding holiday veteran, having seen firsthand that riding through a country with a well trained equine companion is miles apart from experiencing it from the window of a tour coach. The smells, the sights, the sounds... the experience if a lifetime!
For the past five years we have specialised in week long wilderness trails either point to point, or centre based at the estate.
For 2010 we are offering three new exciting trails through Medieval hamlets, Etruscan fortressed villages, and pristine countryside,please explore our website and gallery to gain a better idea of what type of riding adventures we have on offer for 2010.
We are a licensed Italian Equine tour operator and are registered with the appropriate government departments (ANTE). In addition Belmonte is a registered agriturismo.
We are FITETREC ANTE (Federazione Italiana Turismo Equestre e TREC) qualified and trained.
You will always feel comfortable and confident whilst in our care as we know the horses and the rides very well. We put a special emphasis on being helpful, friendly, professional, and always ready for a good laugh.
