Helmsman
THE HELMSMAN IS THE OFFICIAL NEWSLETTER OF THE CONFEDERATION MARINE MODELLERS
A great looking model from the Tillsonburg club

Well the steam show is behind us for another year.We had a good
showing of models both days with a total of about 1300 visitors that came and seen the display. Sunday looked a little iffy but the sun came out and the visitors showed up.
I hope everyone had a good time. Our new tents where set up and these went up with ease, on Saturday we found tha we where a little short on tables, Morely and myself went out and spent some more club money and purchased 6 tables. Just to let everybody know the trailer has been ordered and should be ready early in July. This will make things easier in keeping all club equipment in one place.
On Saturday I finally meet a member from the Burnaby club of whom I had been corresponding with for the last 5 years, every time he is in this area I am not, last year when I visited with the Burnaby club he was away.
Kim writes a news letter for his club in BC and he has given me a lot of insight into the news letter that I write. Some of my idea's come from this.
Oh I almost forgot, I wish to thank the members that came out on Friday to help set up the pool, and those that showed up early on Saturday and Sunday to make sure thing where up and ready for the show.
