Corby Silver Band - Established 1902
About us
Corby Silver Band is a brass band, that was formed for the Pole Fair in 1902 making it one of the oldest bands in the local area.
The majority of our players come from Corby or the surrounding towns and villages.
Our players are hard working and committed and this shows in the many concerts we perform each year.
We try to find the correct balance of serious music making, whilst still having fun and making new friends.
Rehearsals
We are always pleased to see new faces; visitors are welcome to join in a rehearsal held in our own band club.
Rehearsals take place on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 8:00pm - 10.00pm.
Rehearsals are completely free!
We practise in the main hall of the Corby Silver Band club situated on Denford Road, Corby, Northamptonshire NN17 2QW.

Our musicians
Our musicians come from a wide range of musical backgrounds with a range of abilities and experience, from the younger members for whom Corby Silver is their first brass band, to players who have many, many years experience playing in a wide variety of musical groups.
Many of our musicians are members of other local brass bands and orchestras so we have a good relationship with many other musical ensembles across the local area.
We perform many concerts during the summer months.

Contests
We are a keen and enthusiatic 4th section band who practised hard and participated in both the Midlands Areas and Leicestershire BBA contests this year. We are working hard at maintaining the standard and numbers of the band, so that we can enter more contests in the future.
