Larger population

According to INE's last census (1st June 2005), Spain has an officially registered population of 44.1 million, that's almost 1 million more than in the census of 2004. 22.3 million are female and 21.7 million are male.

Marriage

According to the National Institute of Statistics, the average length of a marriage is 11 years and 4 months, which means that in the next 10 years 2 out of every 4 people who are currently married will become single again.

Infidelity in the workplace

According to the study 'Spanish Singles 2005', 51% of men and 46% of women state that they have had a romantic relationship with someone whom they work with. 8% of men and 5% of women split up with their partner after being unfaithful with someone from work.

Looking for a partner - a priority

79% of Spanish singles admit that they are looking for a partner at the moment. 86% are men and 71% women.

Living together

25% of Spanish singles live alone, 50% live with their parents, 16% share with other people, 7.4% live with a son/daughter and 2% live with their ex-partner!

Matrimonio

Según el Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE), en la actualidad la media de duración de un matrimonio es de 11 años y cuatro meses, lo que indica que en los próximos 10 años, dos de cada cuatro personas que hoy están casadas volverán a ser solteras de nuevo.

La infidelidad en el lugar de trabajo

Según el estudio ‘Solteros españoles 2005’, el 51% de los hombres y el 46% de las mujeres afirman haber tenido una relación sentimental con alguien del trabajo en alguna ocasión. Un 8% de los hombres y un 5% de las mujeres rompieron su relación por ser infieles a su pareja con alguien del trabajo.

Buscar pareja – una prioridad

Según el estudio ‘Solteros españoles 2005’, el 79% de los solteros españoles reconoce estar buscando pareja en estos momentos. El 86% son hombres y el 71% mujeres.

Convivencia

Un 25% de los solteros españoles viven solos, un 50% en casa de los padres, un 16% comparte vivienda con otros compañeros, un 7,4% vive con algún hijo o hija y un 2% vive con su ex-pareja.
