"As this is my first report, I would like to take the opportunity to thank those who have given me the vote of confidence to do this job for the coming year.  I would like to acknowledge our out-going Chairman, Tom and thank him for his contribution to our Club over the past 5 years.  I'm pleased to see that he has remained active in the club and taken on the job as one of our committee members.

I enjoyed being part of the committee last year and look forward to working with you all again.  Last year we grew in strength and commitment and our club grew in numbers and my vision for this year is to see it continue to do so.

This year I hope that the members will enjoy a year of vast experiences, workshops, new songs and events inside and outside the club."

"My decision last year to establish a 'core' of member musicians as a band has proved successful.  Members of the club have reported back to me that they are enjoying the sound and support for their singing.

Successes for the band -
Hosting the Hokianga Country Music Club
Kaitaia A & P Show
Visit to Hokianga Club

All in all it's been a year of challenges and developments with some fun days and successful times.  The band enjoy playing music and want to share that.  It's good if we can come away from each club day feeling we've enjoyed our time there, learnt something new and contributed to the Club."
