I have been working in the industry for myself for about 8 years. I found it to be fullfilling and enlightening.
I followed photography in High School and was unsure what I wanted to achieve in life, but it wasn't till my divorce that I was thrusted back into it all and was told by a great friend I think you should further your skills.
Four years at TAFE, Nepean Art and Design Center to be exact , studying the basic foundations to photography and then following an artistic path to get more creative. I completed Fine Art - Art photography with Distinctions and Fine Art - Digital, which allowed me to learn the website building and creative ways around a computer...... I went on to do a Diaploma level statement in Art Photography again with excellent results. Still room to study just not enough time in the world. But big plans to do more.
From there, I was able to go on to do weddings and it is only for the word of mouth that I am recieving work. I dont advertise and I found this to be golden!
I met Ian not long after I finished studying and between us we juggle 6 kids. Ian has run many a business before and we have decided with his professionalism in business and my creative artisitc skill have put a small business together. Hence ffire Photography!
Our vision is to think outside the box and offer more than the client expects and the reactions of people when they see the final product is priceless.
I currently am involved in the Dog World, photographing many dogs shows agility and specialty shows and I am the Official Photographer of the German Shepherd League of NSW currently. I have a number of Publication images in magazines for the dogs, such as Dogs NSW, journal and Let's Talk Terriers a special mention to Tracey and Wayne.
I love the weddings, there is nothing like being able to witness a couple in love and to capture that is amazing.
But my experience is abundant in just about anything, commercial, editiorial and advertising.
