Folding Mountain Karelians is set in the heart of the Rocky Mountains in beautiful British Columbia.  Our remote working kennel was created because of our strong need for Bear Protection, at our home base and our bush camps. These outstanding dogs are a big part of our family life, and our business. Our remote location , with over 6,000 square miles  of guiding territory, offers us the ability to train and raise these dogs in a perfect environment to enhance their natural instincts. We rely on our dogs daily to perform to the best of their ability in keeping us safe .

Here at Folding Mountain  we will only breed our  bear approved adults, that have been actively working and have shown strong instincts .  We are able to work  our dogs in all kinds of terrain, rivers, lakes , mountains, ect, as well as exposure to horses, jet boats, planes ,  snowmachines,4 wheelers, and a huge diversity of wildlife. We do our best to place our pups into working homes only, and have seen them go on to be outstanding protectors.
