General Rules for Computer Lab Use:

No food or drink in the lab (including gum and candy). We have a water cooler which you can use.

Be respectful of all equipment in this room (hardware and software included)

All computer use must have an educational basis. No game playing. (Shockwave, solitaire, etc.)

Be respectful of all your classmates

Do not make changes to the desktop unless otherwise instructed
-
Do not surf the Internet which you are supposed to be listening to the teacher or working on an assignment

Do not install any programs without the teacher’s permission
-
Stay out of other people’s files
-
If you finish assignments or have extra computer time, work on other school projects
Internet Rules for Computer Lab Use:

Student will not enter chat rooms of any sort

Students will only use email for school purposes

Students will not use any type of Instant Messaging

Get permission if you want to use the Internet for anything other than the day’s assignment

Students must clear any Internet printing with me before they send material to the printer

Students must record the URLs for all the websites they use
-
Use only the “safe surf” search engines that I will provide to you
-
No unauthorized downloads. Do not install any programs without my permission.
