As I stated on the puppy info page, my mother was from a huge family consisting of mostly girls so I have decided to name this litter after my aunts and two of their husbands so although it has nothing to do with dogs I will write a little about each one and lets see if the pups acquire any of their traits.
Rauha is the Finnish word for 'peace' and it was also the name of my oldest aunt and since this pup was the first born, it was only fitting.
My aunt Rauha immigrated with her Estonian husband to Canada in the early 1950's. They had no children and were the only relatives we had here in Canada. She was a little eccentric to say the least, especially in her old age. She was very proper and lady like. When we moved to Canada in 1970 we lived with Rauha for the first two weeks we were here. I think I hate milk to this day because she made my brother, sister and I drink warm milk every night before going to bed.
