Welcome home, Heather! It was good seeing your smiling face in church yesterday. I've really enjoyed keeping up with you by reading your journal entries. The pictures on your website, too, just make the trip seem to come alive for those of us who joined you in thought and prayer. Great to read of your experiences. Oh, how it brings back memories of our time in Nigeria. You will never be the same after this trip as God opens your eyes to the needs of your African sisters and brothers.  Just went through your notes. What a wonderful experience. We will pray for your knee this week. We had Canadian food tonight and Rob's Calgary chocolate cake. It is rainy here as usual. We are missing you and look forward to your safe return. Watch out for ant eaters as well. We had ants in our trailer this summer but they were very small. When you described the ants, we all were quite squemish. See ya.

Hi Sis,
I have so often wished I was a fly on the wall, just to hear your funny and wonderful stories when you all gather together in the evenings. I am praying about your knee ( my goodness our whole family has this problem and it is terrible) however I know you will survive and hope it will be in one piece.
I know you all are being stretched beyond anything that you imagined but God will bless each and every one of you.

My name is Heather as well and i came across your website as i was viewing the website that i created in honor of my mother Carolyn Miller who recently passed away from breast cancer. Your website caught my eye as I am from Kenya! I was born and raised there but have been living in the US since 1992.I go back home to Kenya at least twice a year--next trip is in December. My mother was born and raised in the US--met my father and moved to Kenya where she did live for 10 years. Hey Heather! I am sure you will just love the socks off the women you will visit, as you have me and all those that are blessed to call you friend. Delighting in differences is the key to cross-cultural relationships, and you will find the AFrican women just that. The challenges are great, but our God is greater. Let's not grow weary in doing good, and we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. As we have opportunity, let's do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
