Ivösjön assumed to have been a part of the sea, where the huge tail lizards millions of years ago swam around. Two of these are also depicted on the square in Bromölla city - in the form of one of the world's largest ceramic art.
Ivösjön is Skåne's largest and deepest lake. The lake is 55 km2 large and as deep as 196 feet.
The lake with its many islands, islets and coves, along with the surrounding beech forest-clad mountains and valleys of a grand nature. In the lake is caught perch, bream, Gullspång salmon, pike, walleye, canada trout, burbot, roach, smelt, Heritage, whitefish and trout.
