Hi,
Does anyone know if a list of past teachers including perhaps notes on their activities exists?

My great-grandfather, William Balfry is listed in the 1851 census as residing in the National School House, Blind Lane, Keighley, together with his wife, Mary Ann and 4 children. Apart from being a schoolteacher, he is reported to have been a land surveyor and engineer for the railways.

Any snippets anyone might find would be most welcome.
