Meet the Artist
Welcome to our website

Hi there and thank you so much for visiting my site!

I was born and raised in Modesto, Ca. There I attended Modesto J.C. and went on to Liberty University in VA to obtain my B.S. in Psychology. After spending some time living and working in the Caribbean I returned to Virginia for my Masters Degree in Counseling. I appreciate the psychology behind individuals, their character, and what inspires them. I use my training in this field to capture many of life’s most inspiring moments and inspirations, treating each portrayal as a masterpiece in need of a canvas. With my unique blend of the places that I have had the privilege to resided I try to bring to my paintings a mix of perspectives, cultures, and a plethora of diverse settings to astonish and enthuse those looking to be refreshed.

Finally, after longing to move back to California, I settled on California's Central Coast, where I think the Garden of Eden must have used to reside merely because of the moderate temperatures and vivid Mediterranean-like scenery. Here I live with my cherished husband and two puppies, Thumbellina Ladybug and Sam.

I am inclined to lean toward a mix between Impressionistic and Realistic acrylic or oil-painting. I first started painting in my early twenties and started with the medium of Watercolor.   It has only been recently that I have gotten to try painting again and learn whatever I can.  I am self taught and still very much learning!

I enjoy using bright and brilliant colors, often adding Impressionism to a painting simply by adding specific colors. I have the habit of hiding small hints of a metallic medium underlining each painting that I paint.

I also like to hide stories in my paintings that the average viewer might not notice.  Often painting with a movie or Audio book on in the background, I frequently hide a secret illusion in my paintings that forever allude to the audible story taking place at the time of my creation.
California remains my favorite subject to capture on canvas~

Thank you again for visiting my site and learning a bit about my passion for art!    :o)
