I acquired my first Bearded Collie in 1990. Maggie (pictured above) changed my life in many ways. I became interested in showing and subsequently breeding. Maggie excelled in the show ring and became a wonderful ambassador for the breed. Maggie lived to the age of 17 1/2. She was one in a million and my heart still aches for her. Maggie, Moira her daughter and I retired to Mazinaw Lake in Eastern Ontario 1999. SInce then we have enjoyed this wonderful environment. The clean air and forest trails keep us all fit and healthy. Moira (11) provided me with Ellie (6). I bought a lovely puppy Briagha from Dunhill Beardies in September 2008. Briagha completed our family here at Lochcairn. Ellie, Ch. Lochcairn's Lady Ravenscraig, has been bred and the puppies are expected in late March. These new wee ones will carry on Maggie's legacy.
