This is Lulu's tale, the tale of her recovery from paralysis after being hit by a car.

I too, like Brackens owner struggled to find much on the net about this subject so decided to put up Lulu's site in a bid to help others going through the same thing by sharing this experience and Lulu's tale with the world. My advice to others would be don't give up,keep trying and you will see results. We were originally told to put Lulu to sleep...so glad we did not listen to them!

Here's what happened:
Lulu was hit by a car on Friday 11th May 2007 outside our home. We rushed her to the vets for emergency treatment to stop bleeding and stabilise her.
After the weekend we transferred her to a specialist for treatment including an operation on her spine to stabilise two wobbly vertebrae and remove a crushed disc.
She made normal progress but sadly at first neither of her back legs showed any signs of recovery. Her tail has moved a little but not much.
I am pleased to say 8 months down the line Lulu has regained the use of her right rear leg and we are still working on the left `dead` leg, she does have deep pain response in it now - Jan 08 - although her foot is still dragging.
