Hygiene
How we kept Lulu clean

We used a flannel & puppy shampoo in luke-warm water to give Lulu a gentle wash all over every third day as she was unable to wash herself fully and would become sweaty.
This kept her fresh and made her feel better.
Do not saturate your dog just wet a flannel wring it out and rub it gently over their coat then dry with a towel. Wash them a section at a time then dry immediately before moving on to another part of their body.
Do not leave them wet as they can not get up to move around to generate heat, so be sure to dry them thoroughly.

Each morning we used a damp flannel to wash her face as she would get sleep around her eyes with being on pain-killers and sleeping alot. Gently dry with another flannel or towel.

Your dogs bladder or bowel function may take time to return so meanwhile you will have to clean their bottoms each time they `go to the toilet.` Do not allow this area to be left dirty or wet as sores will develop. Clean any faeces or urine up immediately using baby wipes & put faeces into nappy sacks (available in supermarkets and chemists in the baby section)  get the worst of the faeces (pooh) off with baby wipes then wash the area with warm water with a  little puppy shampoo in it using a flannel. Rinse, and dry with a towel.

Remove and wash any soiled/wet bedding. Soak it in a bucket of soapy water before placing in your washing machine.
