Maniototo's Gavin Crossan gives full protection to Geoff McAtamney as he scores Maniototo's first try of the game at Gimmerburn.

Wakatipu Lift Cup

A competative forward pack and Steve Ridley's kicking were the key ingredients in Wakatipu's win. It was a disapointing result for Maniototo who out-scored the challenges two tries to one.
Maniototo started the game through a Dean McAuley penalty goal, plus a try on the blindside by fullback Iain Forrester.
Maniototo went out to an 18 - 16 lead when Dale Palmer landed from a Wakatipu infringement and Geoff McAtamney drove from a lineout to cross in a handy position during the 70th minute.
