Pictured are publishing partners Gord Clauws and Ted Misselbrook from a photo taken by then Windsor Star reporter Gary O'Flynn. The picture and news story appeared in the Windsor daily in 1965 to announce the birth of a new weekly newspaper the North Kent Leader. Clauws and Misselbrook have for the past 12 months been remembering, writing and gathering photos for a future self-published book with a working title "The Leader Story....1965-1988". The partners will also post the Leader Story to a internet website. The project is expected to be completed in late 2009.

Pat and Ted Misselbrook are shown in this1965 photo taken at the newly established office of the new weekly newspaper The North Kent Leader
The newly established North Kent Leader office was located in downtown Dresden in a building that is now home to Babcock Jewellers. The picture shown is a 1965 vintage, with Pat and Ted in the main production room of the Leader office. Snapping the photo was Ted's partner Gord Clauws. This is just one of hundreds of pictures that have been discovered by Clauws and Misselbrook for use in a future presentation of "The Leader Story" due out in in late 2009 or early 2010.
