"Drift" our Basenji arrived at Mossbawnhill in the summer of 06 and totally turned our nice,quiet,comfortable whippet world on it's head!!
He came from the well known Basenji Kennel "Zordia" in England owned by Val Allen and his pedigree is impeccable...he is totally American/Continentally bred as both his parents are imports,his Dam "Svea" UK Ch Faraoland Toyou At Zordia (R/W) being from Sweden and his Sire "Bryn" UK Ch AB-SS Money To Burn At Shernazar (B/W) from the US.
Since he made his debut in the show rings later that year he has been consistently in the ribbons and had accumulated enough Green Stars before the age of 15mths to give him his title but had to wait to get another one because in Ireland a dog must be 15mths or over before he/she can achieve Ch status. To our knowledge Drift was the youngest ever Basenji to be titled! He also holds the Annual Ch title of 07 as he had attained the most GS's in the breed throughout the year & he was also awarded the Celtic Winners Dog title in 08 where he also managed a very respectable Group 2nd that day!!
He is semi-retired now as he really was long overdue a rest after being campaigned so extensively and we were finding it very difficult to actively campaign two breeds at once. He will make the odd appearance at a few selected shows in the future.
